Foreign Investment Funds (FIFs) – What you need to consider (Webinar)

With technology, it has become easier to invest globally and achieve diversification in an investment portfolio.
However, with this global investment strategy, investors and advisors need to be aware of the various types of
investments and the options available to calculate taxable income.  In many cases, it can be more tax effective to
invest off-shore given the differences in treatment of investments.  As advisors, we need to be aware of the tax
implications of the various types of investments, particularly with the information being shared between jurisdictions
and the IRD being active in this space.

This webinar will work through the Foreign Investment Fund regime at a high level.

We will also outline the current issues in this area and the potential implications of these to you and your clients and
where the Inland Revenue Department are likely to focus.

Total CPD Hours: 1.25

Suited to: Accountants, lawyers and business advisors at all levels.
