Ethics for Chartered Accountants – A review of the requirements for NZICA/CAANZ members 2022 (4 sessions)

Ethics are one of the cornerstones of our profession. Their existence and our accountability under them help increase trust in the profession. The Code of Ethics has had a number of changes in the last few years. This webinar series will a review the existing rules, including these changes. It will overview the rules and review the main features of the ethics requirements.

The webinar series will provide the 4 hours of training required by NZICA/CAANZ.

The webinars will not cover anything to do with ethics for assurance and audit engagements.

Specifically, it will cover:

  • Ethics in General & Fundamental Principles
  • Conceptual Framework
  • Rules for members in business
  • Rules for members in Public Practice
  • NOCLAR

Throughout the webinar series there will be a number of examples used to illustrate the points being made.

Upon completion of the webinar you will be able to:

  • Explain the main features of the Ethics requirements of NZICA/CAANZ
  • Meet the 4 hours of training required by NZICA/CAANZ every 5 years
  • Consider the impact of the ethics requirements on your work situation

This webinar is of general interest to all members of CAANZ and/or NZICA.

Mike is a member of CAANZ and a regular presenter for TEO Training Ltd. He has presented a number of ethics seminars and webinars for both TEO and CAANZ over the last 7 years.
