Focusing primarily on corporate structures, this course will explore the different phases of raising capital, from start-up to a more mature enterprise. It will consider the commercial and tax issues that advisors and owners alike should be factoring into decision making and planning.

Upon satisfactory completion of this activity you will be able to:

• Talk about the “usual” life-cycle of a company from start-up to maturity
• Understand the different funding options available to companies, and other structures
• Have a roadmap of issues to consider as an enterprise develops, including contractual relations between parties and key terms/concepts.
