GST and Non-Profit Bodies (NPBs) (webinar)

Many NPBs exist in our communities. As these groups provide a benefit to the public, there are GST concessions provided to them and some GST issues for these entities. In this webinar we will look at the technical and practical issues and the concessions provided.

Specifically, we will consider:

  • GST registration
  • GST on grants & subsidies
  • GST and donations
  • Sponsorship or donation?
  • Supply of private education services

 

Upon satisfactory completion of this activity, you will be able to:

  • articulate clearly the rules and principles
  • identify relevant GST issues
  • explain the GST implications in each of the areas.

  • intermediate through to advanced accountants in public practice who are dealing with charities and other non-profit bodies
