Ethics for Members of CAANZ/NZICA 2025 – The Fundamentals Part 1 (webinar)
Ethics are one of the cornerstones of our profession. Their existence and our accountability under them help increase trust in the profession. This webinar is part of a 6 part series that provides an opportunity to review professional ethics applicable to accountants. This webinar will focus on the ethical standards of CAANZ and will start with an introduction to ethics; a review of what ethics are; an overview of the Code of Ethics and the fundamental ethical principles
The webinar will provide 1 hour of the of training required by CAANZ/NZICA every 3 years.
Specifically, it will cover:
• Ethics in General
• The 5 fundamental principles
o For members in practice
o Who are members in business
Throughout the webinar there will be a number of examples used to illustrate the points being made. The webinar will not cover anything to do with ethics for assurance and audit engagements.
Upon satisfactory completion of this activity, you will be able to:
• Explain the main features of the Ethics requirements of CAANZ/NZICA
• Meet 1 hour of the 6 hours of training required by CAANZ/NZICA every 3 years.
• Consider the impact of the ethics requirements on your work situation
