The webinar will firstly introduce cryptocurrency before considering the confusing and evolving way in which it is treated as an asset or is otherwise dealt with by tax laws when utilised as a payment mechanism. We will cover off the latest thinking from IRD and discuss practical tax issues.
This is an updated course from 2020, given that this is a fast-emerging area of tax law.
Anyone with a direct or indirect interest in cryptocurrency, especially around how it is captured by the Income Tax and GST Acts.
