Many groups in the community exist for purposes that the law recognises as being “charitable”. As these groups provide a benefit to the public, there are a number of tax and GST concessions provided to them. In 2 webinars we will look at a number of practical issues that arise as a result of these tax concessions.
Session 1 – Technical Issues, will consider:
- Tax exemption
- Donee status
- What is (or is not) a donation that qualifies for a tax credit
Session 2 – Operational Issues, will consider:
- Payments to “helpers”
- FBT issues
- GST issues
Upon satisfactory completion of this activity you will be able to:
- understand the rules and principles better
- identify relevant tax issues
- have a greater awareness of tax implications in each of the areas
Total CPD Hours: 1 hour and 15 minutes for each session or 2.5 hours if you attend both sessions
