PART 1 – Common Budgeting Issues for Schools and NFPs

During this session we will explore the budgeting process for non-profit & School entities.

This will involve:

  • Understanding the budgeting needs of the organisation and the approach to take
  • Exploring the tools available to help create a budget
  • Typical areas of concern when creating a budget for a non-profit entity and how to address them
  • Reporting and addressing your audience

Upon satisfactory completion of this activity you will be able to: 

  • Appreciate the type of budget required for the organisation
  • Understand the format and outputs required for the right audience
  • Determine the correct tools to use for your budget setting process
  • Navigate the typical areas of concern and risk when addressing a non-profit budget

  • The key system areas of focus for not-for-profits & schools that you should consider
  • Management and Board reporting
  • The process to undertake to identify and implement a new digital eco-system

  • Identify the red flags to look for that show there is the need to review the systems of an organisation
  • Understand the key areas in an organisation that are impacted by the introduction of new technology and who you need to consider when implementing new systems
