Funding Early Stage Companies 2022 – Updated (webinar)

As there is currently quite a lot of activity in the capital raising space for early stage companies in a post-Covid environment where underlying asset valuations have been slashed, especially in the SaaS space.

This webinar will consider the pros & cons, and issues of various forms of funding for early stage companies including; ordinary and preferential equity, ESOPs (sweat equity), convertible notes, and similar. It will be a practically focused course, considering the commercial and taxation issues arising from the above, especially in an environment where investment money is challenging to lock in.

Learning Outcomes: Attendees will walk away with a general awareness of the options available to early stage companies around funding, including understanding the relative pros and cons, and what issues clients should be asking about as founders or investors.

Suited to: Anyone advising or with an interest in the early-stage company space, including accountants, founders and potential investors.
